Sing With Us

Our choir members share a passion for the privilege of learning and performing great choral music together. They commit themselves to the joyful challenge, time, and personal diligence this rewarding process involves and, as such, enter a covenant relationship with their fellow singers which is reciprocal and sustains the integrity of the choir as a whole.

While rehearsals focus heavily on the disciplines that create good choral sound, they are unmistakably imbued with an irresistible joy of singing and the fun of thinking creatively about mastering complex rhythms and harmonies.

The satisfaction of striving with one another to give life to our selected works both sustains and enriches our mutual experience.

Our choir is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity volunteer choral community chorus. The Central Florida Master Choir does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, age, or disability. We encourage individuals of all backgrounds to apply.

If you would like to explore this exciting opportunity for yourself you are invited to consider auditioning. Please call our conductor, Dr. McSwain, at 352.615.7677 to arrange an audition appointment.

Rehearsals

The choir rehearses weekly on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Countryside Presbyterian Church on SW State Road 200 in Ocala, FL. Rehearsals for the Fall season typically commence on the first Tuesday after Labor Day and rehearsals for the Spring season begin on the first Tuesday after New Year’s Day. One or two mandatory dress rehearsals may be held in the last couple of weeks immediately preceding concert performances. Attendance at these rehearsals is essential for proper performance preparation as they include rehearsal with any instrumentalists participating in performances. Except for emergencies, excused absence from these mandatory rehearsals is at the sole discretion of the Conductor and must be obtained in advance.

Successful audition should be followed by careful review of the choir’s published season performance schedule to ensure ability to meet these expectations.
